Canada’s Only National Duct Cleaning Company.
Established in in 1966, Power Vac has flourished to become Canada’s only national duct cleaning company with a network of offices from coast-to-coast.
Custom Equipment
By 1970, Power Vac began applying our expertise in duct cleaning to duct cleaning equipment when we began designing and manufacturing Power Vac’s high-powered vacuum units for the exclusive use of authorized Power Vac dealers. Power Vac currently offers three models of truck-mounted equipment and two portable models. Regardless of the size or configuration, we have a vacuum system suitable to clean any ductwork from the smallest residential to the largest commercial and industrial systems.
General Cleaning
By 1980, Power Vac had taken our cleaning services outside ductwork to include general plant cleanup. Originally seen as another application for our Power Vacuum system to remove large quantities of dust and debris, the service grew to include janitorial cleaning services that did not require large Power Vacuums, but did require the services of a conscientious cleaning contractor for industrial cleaning.
Comprehensive Service
In 1992, Power Vac introduced robotic technology to the duct cleaning market with specialized vehicles to inspect, brush, sanitize and coat ductwork. In conjunction with a full spectrum of mechanically driven Power Brushes, disinfectants and repair coatings, Power Vac now offers the most comprehensive service in the industry.
Employees
Meet Nick:
Meet Nick. Nick Hyson joined the Nova Scotia Power Vac office in the 1990’s. Within a couple of years, Nick was cleaning ductwork in all types of buildings including homes, offices, factories and hospitals. Nick has a wealth of experience in residential systems, commercial, industrial and high-rise systems. Nick holds an Air Systems Cleaning Specialist (ASCS) designation from the National Air Duct Cleaners Association. He has trained over 15 people in all aspects of duct cleaning.
Knowledgeable and Service Oriented
Nick has learned his trade well, and is passing his knowledge on. Our time-tested training programs are on-the-job, where a new hire is assigned to a ‘trainer’ and acts as a helper for two weeks to a month during which time the new hire is exposed to a variety of different homes and furnaces. Commercial trainees are trained for longer periods of time, and can be a helper for a year or more before they are assigned to jobs as crew chief.
Best In The Business
Our service workers are uniformed, experienced and bondable. Because our reputation rests on them, we make sure we hire the best in the business. And we back them up with a full guarantee of complete customer satisfaction.
